Our Story

During the communist war, our family was one of the selected four who was allowed to continue doing business in Tebedu. Our late father was a noble businessman and has contributed to this area for more than 60 years. In 2016, we decided to establish KLB Garden which stands for Kueh Lai Boo, in remembrance of our late father and to carry on his spirit. The aim of KLB Garden is to promote eco-tourism and attract visitors from all walks of life to explore this hidden pearl of Sarawak, where the tales and stories unfold.

About Us

KLB Garden is a perfect destination for family trips and for visitors to learn about the history of Tebedu as well as the ecology and culture of Borneo and its people. A wide range of activities such as animal feeding and cycling are available for our visitors. Visitors can also plan for a day trip to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the breath-taking country side scenery.

About Tebedu

Tebedu, also known as the pearl of Sarawak or Bandar Mutiara, is a border town located between Sarawak and Kalimantan. It is a trading hub where Malaysians and Indonesians trade daily for goods and service since decades ago. Located in the heart of Tebedu, KLB Garden is the first retreat destination in the region where both local and foreign visitors from bustling cities can truly experience and feel the peaceful nature of Borneo.
